About Penn Robotics Open Alliance
The Penn Robotics Open Alliance (OA) is a dedicated platform launched in September 2025 to provide real-time updates, insights, and behind-the-scenes content from Penn Robotics. This initiative offers a transparent and engaging way for students, mentors, and the community to stay informed about the team's progress, challenges, and achievements.
Our Mission
At Penn Robotics, our mission is to inspire and cultivate the next generation of problem solvers. Through hands-on experiences in designing, building, and programming robots, we aim to foster creativity, teamwork, and a passion for STEM among students.
What We Do
- Team 135: Established in 1997, Team 135 is composed primarily of juniors and seniors who leverage over 25 years of collective experience to tackle complex robotics challenges. The team is student-driven, with guidance from dedicated coaches and mentors.
- Team 328: Founded in 2022, Team 328 focuses on freshmen and sophomores, preparing them for the rigors of Team 135. Under the mentorship of Team 135, members develop foundational skills in robotics and leadership.
- Youth Camps: We offer camps for students in grades 1 through 8, introducing them to robotics concepts through hands-on activities and challenges. These camps aim to ignite interest in STEM fields from an early age.
- Community Outreach: Our outreach initiatives focus on promoting STEM education and FIRST Robotics programs within the community. We engage with educators and organizations to expand access to robotics opportunities.
